36/55 'The Rhythm of Life' (2006)
Day 36! The world turns. We breathe in and out. Seasons come and go. There is a rhythm to life, a rhythm and a synchronicity that is magic. Rhythms are slow and rhythms are fast. Sometimes we get sucked away and sometimes we drive the boat. But the rhythm goes and goes and rolls and rolls, so we might as well enjoy the ride and embrace the rhythm that is Earth and the rhythm that is us. I wrote this song on the front porch of my buddy Andrew's family ranch house when I was invited to come and play the very first Yarmony Grass in Western Colorado in 2006. It is the signature track from my 2nd cd, 'In the Garden' that came out in 2007.
