We built a studio and made a bad ass record in it! We let the songs tell us where to go and we followed. I tried to get out of my box and do some things I don't normally do with music. We incorporated the talents of just some really great musicians and people. I like to add outdoor sound bytes to some songs; so listen for the rumble strip, the birds, the train yard, the church bells, the bus stop, the booming commercial hydraulic stake pounder and the voice of blues legend Leadbelly from 1949 telling me to relax my mind.
